Arkansas rollover accident kills 1, injures 2

A single-car accident in Arkansas left one man dead and two people injured on Sept. 14. The accident occurred around 1:10 a.m. on Interstate 30 between Bryant and Alexander. Arkansas state troopers said that the deceased man, a 34-year-old Bryant resident, was driving in the westbound lanes when he lost control of the car near mile marker 125.

Police said that the man was driving at a high rate of speed when his car ran off the road. The vehicle struck a roadside concrete barrier and flipped over, coming to a stop on its side.

Emergency first responders took all three of the car's occupants to hospitals. The 34-year-old man was pronounced dead at a hospital in Little Rock. The two passengers suffered unspecified injuries. Information about their conditions was not available in reports.

Speeding, driving aggressively and other negligent behaviors increase the likelihood of an accident and put passengers at risk for serious injuries such as head trauma, neck or back injuries and broken bones. All of these types of injuries can lead to lifelong complications, including chronic pain from compression injuries, cognition problems from head trauma, or mobility issues from neck or back injuries. These complications may require expensive therapy to treat, often leaving victims deep in debt.

Passengers who are injured in car accidents may feel that the person driving the car behaved negligently, resulting in their injuries. Personal injury attorneys could provide victims with information about what damages they may be able to seek from negligent drivers or the estate of a deceased driver.
